Our Ministries

BCU is active in many ways.  We are always looking for more ways in which we can have a greater impact on our community.  We seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus and share his love of all of his children with our community.  Through ongoing service like our food pantry and special events like the Christmas baskets and the Crop Hunger Walk we want to be a beacon of hope, peace and love in New Carlisle.

Scroll below to find all of the active projects that we have going throughout the year.  If you would like to help please reach out to us and we would love for you to get involved.  If you know of a need that BCU or one of its affiliate churches could meet please contact us and we will do everything we can to help.

Bethel Food Pantry

The BCU Food Pantry (937 845-1008), located at 226 S. Pike Street next to the First United Methodist Church is open Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm and Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. All work there is managed and performed by a 100% volunteer staff, hence all donations are expended entirely to help those in need.

Saint Vincent De Paul Food Ministry

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person to person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder. They embrace all works of charity and justice helping all who are in need.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Sacred Heart Church provides temporary emergency assistance to people in the Bethel township community.  To request aid, please call the parish office 937-845-3121. To assist St. Vincent de Paul, to volunteer/donor, please contact Mary Sherman at 845-8137.
